 Bansko

 Bansko is a town and ski resort in southwestern Bulgaria, located at the foot of the Pirin mountain at an altitude of 925m above sea level. It is considered to be the most developed Ski and Winter Resort in Eastern Europe, and one of the best in Europe. The town boasts some of the best "Apres-ski" facilities in the country with plenty of bars, restaurants, clubs and luxury hotels to suit all tastes.

The slopes around Bansko provide some 70km of runs to cater for Skiers and Snowboarders from beginner to advanced. 80% of the runs are covered by snowcannon to ensure only the best of conditions. The settings for these runs vary from open slope to beautiful forest lined runs. 

There are plenty of "off-piste" oppotrunities for the more adventurous and several restaurants on the way down for the more relaxed.  For a truly memorable experience you can take part in the 7km torchlit night ski down into the town!

One of the major attractions of Bulgaria is the level of instruction that is given,considered to be among the best in Europe. The instructors are of a very high standard and the cost compared to other resorts is minimal.

Access to the slopes in Bansko is well catered for with an 8 seat Gondola several 4 and 3 seater lifts and plenty of draglifts to accomodate all ages.
